got balls?

July 25, 2008 / by 24-7

I pay no attention whatever to anybody's praise or blame. I simply follow my own feelings. -- Mozart

Disclaimer: I like quotes a lot and do get both inspiration and confirmation from them but I am sometimes cynical whether a particular person really said something.  Sometimes, I don't care either.

The quote by Mozart intrigues me.  Amadeus, I've read, was loosely based on real events.  Lets assume this undeniably musically gifted human did say it.  My questions are more about the genesis of his attitudinal perspective.  Did Wolfgang's talent emit from this confidence or did his talent create his confidence?  What if classical music had little or no social importance?  He would still be a genius and have the balls.

The point I am most likely stumbling to is that anybody can have this balldacious attitude if only we take any nuance of a gift we have and transfer it to blossom into confidence.

Most of the Masters in those days had women funding their talents so all their talents could be fully utilized with out worry of the landlord.  Today that would not work.  Today people expect returns on their dollar.

Your comments on Mammograms reached home to me.  I had to have both sides checked, a lady came in and couldn't prove her insurance and they put her mind to ease by telling her that they had a Rose Fund to cover these occasions.

Never thought a veteran ever needed a mammogram it was very very interesting as Shultz would say.

Good luck with your new adventures with Ms Frog.  Glad to meet another Nice guy.

ok, enough of this "nice guy" thing.  i have to talk to her about this image she's put out there. hehe

glad to hear about the rose fund.  my ex died from breast cancer and i couldn't help her (for several reasons) and the site is a very small way that i can.  i don't know if the site i promote is affiliated though.

breast cancer and men doesn't get a lot of publicity.  i hope you are ok.

Is this a which came first... the chicken or the egg thought process?  I agree that anyone can have that confident balldacious attitude and if people would only utilitze it... the world could be an amazing place.  However, I tend to believe that it is inate... I'm guessing Wolfgang's talent and genius was there and the social importance of Classical music was not relavent.  Who knows though.  Well... now that I have said that maybe I don't think that.  Darn you 24-7... now you have me thinking!

It is easy to have great confidence when others applaud you, much harder when everyone is silent. But I do think there are people out there that have a great talent and  don't care what others think, they follow their heart even when it gets them thrown in jail or killed.
